Luxury Pet Spa is seeking the perfect fit to join our family. We are a new but rapidly growing upscale pet spa located in New Hyde Park. Candidates must have some experience with bathing. During the week you will be bathing alone, so you should be able to handle up to 15 dogs. We hardly ever see that many during the week, but in the event we do you should be able to handle the load. As we grow I will bring on another bather to assist you and take what hours are left over. Saturdays there is always at least 2 bathers. Job duties of the bather include, but are not limited to answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking in and discharging pets, cleaning and plucking ears, clipping nails, dematting, sales, cleaning, and organizing. For the right person, I will teach skills that are lacking, but you need to at least be able to produce a perfectly clean dog. We do groom cats but they are not mandatory. It is a plus if you can handle a cat however. At my salon, I do not tolerate yelling, hitting, or rough handling of clients. Must be able to deal with customers of all types PLEASANTLY.
