As part of their 200 hour “Career Course in Dog Grooming” each student is given the opportunity to experience the fund of learning in our state-of-the-art mobile grooming van, “The Dogfather." It's an actual mobile grooming business operating in the Southern Connecticut marketplace exclusively for the training of our students. Students with an intent to enter the mobile grooming profession may allocate up to 20% of their school hours working and learning “on the road.” The Mobile Grooming Internship consists of students spending their school day visiting actual customers and grooming their dogs right in their driveway with a qualified mobile grooming instructor in a unique one-on-one learning atmosphere.

HipDog offers pet and show dog grooming instructions, breed specific classes that others may attend as a continuing education course each Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 in a relaxed atmosphere. We limit classes to no more than 3 students currently as we truly do not subscribe to the cattle call type schools that see students as money and cram 6 - 12 students in at a time. We do not believe that more is better when learning the fine art of daily grooming with competition level results.
